I've been bugged the last couple of days by the disturbing nature of the dreams I've been having. Since getting pregnant again, I've been dreaming a lot, but lately, the dreams have been more vivid, more violent and more detailed than I've had before.
I'll highlight the last 3 nights for you. A couple of nights ago I dreamed of getting stabbed in the throat and seeing every detail of what was going on around me in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. The ambulance had see-through sides, and we were making our way through downtown St. Paul, and I could see all the people staring in at me. The next night - without going into too much detail because this one was gross and gory, I dreamed I was about as far along in my pregnancy as I currently am and that I went to the bathroom and there was blood and "stuff" everywhere, and basically, by the end of the dream, I had lost the baby. Last night I dreamed that I borrowed the SUV of a guy I went to high school with (and wasn't even friends with, by the way) so that I could make it to one of my good high school friend's house because she lived way down in this weird valley with a really winding, curvy, twisting, bumpy road. On the way down, I flipped the SUV and had all kinds of bruises and cuts all over my face.
I'm getting a little paranoid that something horrible is going to happen to me! It seems like I dream all night, granted, who really knows how much we actually dream, and not all of the dreams are horrible. I wake up remembering one yucky dream every morning. I'm already starting to get uncomfortable at night without having these nightmares to look forward to, as well. Anyone have any insights?

Notes on dream analysis from Dawn S.---
There are different kinds of dreams. There are the one's that are just a weird combination of things that have happened to you lately. Our subconscious is working through those things in order to sort them out and kind of "discard" them from the subconscious. The other kind is usually really off the wall and you think, "Where did that come from?" It is your subconscious telling you to pay attention to something going on in your life. Most people dream 5-7 times a night but we usually only remember the one's that really affect us in a way that we want to find out what they are about. The dream symbols are not necessarily literal meanings. However, there are usually very interesting things in them that give you insight into what you need to know and leave you thinking about them long after you have them. Stab
To dream that you have been stabbed, signifies your struggle with power. You may be experiencing feelings of inadequacy and defensiveness.
Throat
To see your throat in your dream, symbolizes the ability to express yourself and communicate your thoughts/ideas.
Neck
To see your neck in your dream, signifies the relationship between the mind/mental and the body/physical. It represents willpower, self-restriction and your need to control your feelings and keep them in check. To dream that your neck is injured, indicates a separation between your heart and mind.
Ambulance
To see an ambulance in your dream, indicates that your careless activities and indiscretion may lead to major problems and complications. Pregnant

Bathroom
To dream that you are in the bathroom, relates to your instinctual urges. You may be experiencing some burdens/feelings and need to "relieve yourself". Alternatively, it may symbolize purification and self-renewal. You need to cleanse yourself, both emotionally and psychologically.
Blood
To see blood in your dream, represents life, love, and passion as well as disappointments.
To dream that you are bleeding or losing blood, signifies that you are suffering from exhaustion or that you are feeling emotionally drained. To dream of a valley, signifies positive change resulting in happiness and peace.
Accident
To dream that you are in an accident, signifies pent up guilt and you are sub-consciously punishing yourself over it.
To dream of a car accident, symbolizes your emotional state. You may be harboring deep anxieties and fears. Are you "driving" yourself too hard? This dream may tell you to slow down before you hit disaster. You need to rethink or re-plan your course of actions and set yourself on a better path.
Face
To see your own face in your dream, denotes the persona you choose to show to the world as oppose to the real you. It may refer to confrontations and your willingness to deal with problems and issues in your life.
To dream that your face is flawed or pimply, represents erupting emotions. You may have suffered an attack on your persona or your reputation.
Bruise
